Megan and Josh were married on March 24th in the Beaver Creek Chapel right in the heart of Beaver Creek. Megan and her family traveled to Beaver Creek for ski trips since she was two years old. She and Josh thought it would be the perfect place to have their winter destination wedding. Megan’s attention to detail throughout this wedding was amazing. Becca from Veils in Vail helped her create a day full of warmth and love. Megan wore Josh’s mom’s earrings and her shoes were custom engraved. Josh didn’t disappoint with his custom engraved jacket with floral lining and his white dinner jacket that he changed into before their introduction.
The day was planned to the very last detail. Megan and Josh created an event that truly showcased the Rocky Mountains. After the ceremony at the Chapel, their guests were taken up the mountain on an open air sleigh ride shuttled by a snow-cat to Allie’s Cabin as the sun was setting. It was an experience their guests will never forget!
Megan and Josh spent months preparing and practicing their first dance. Dancing ended up becoming one of their favorite things to do together! Their first dance was in front of the gorgeous fireplace at Allie’s Cabin. It was romantic and elegant.
Megan and Josh’s Proposal Story from Megan’s Perspective
I was visiting my brother in San Francisco when josh walked into meet us for lunch half way into my trip! My parents were also in San Francisco at the time so we met up with them ( still having no idea what was going on, I thought it was just a fun surprise for my birthday). The next morning we woke up to get coffee and he proposed to me at sunrise in front of the water! It was so sweet that he involved my whole family, including my brother who I don’t see often. We were all able to celebrate together!
